The above images show the hyperspectral characterization of  gold nickel nanowire within a live cell. The PARISS hyperspectral microscope was set up for darkfield scatter in % reflection.  The spectra of both gold and nickel were clearly revealed The colors are coded to correlate with the reflection spectra of the components that make up the structures. In this example, each spectrum presents a fingerprint of the metals involved
